It's Time To Pahk Your Manifestation Cah In Cancer's Yahd

"All my East Coast readers/clients are gonna LOVE this subject line!" she thought, as she hit SEND

Happy New Moon in Cancer!

I’m gonna tell you a lil’ secret - I sometimes get a lot of anxiety around manifestation stuff like New Moons, vision boards, or “calling in” lists. I get excited to do them, thinking about all the great things I wanna manifest or how my life is totally gonna change from the second I finish the thing and I’m finally gonna be the person I always wanted to be!!!, and then I sit down to do them and am immediately paralyzed with anxiety and procrastination.

All of a sudden, I can’t even begin to put to paper what it is that I truly want to call into my life. Even the things that, on any given day, I would declare with my whole chest that I’m not gonna stop until I get them are called into question. Do I really want to be a bestselling author? What if writing steamy screenplays for big ‘ol buttloads of money would make me happier? Do I really want to live on the West Coast? What if I meet a brawny Southie type who loves to read literary novels, and all he wants to do is carry me off to a cozy place on Nantucket where he sails me around in his boat by day, and then by night I get to watch him get into loud, mouthy arguments with local bar patrons about the fact that Bukowski actually sucks and if you haven’t read your way through the collected words of Jane Austen you’re just kidding yourself?

I don’t want my manifestation lists to rule that kind of thing out, you know???

But what it really comes down to is this: When I’m having a hard time making a decision about what I really want, it’s usually because I’m not trusting myself enough to know that I’ll always make the right choice for me.

Because that’s all that manifestations and intentions really are, yeah? It’s a list of decisions you’re making for yourself.

And making that list is just another extension of the most important part of building a connection to spirit: Learning to trust your own intuition.

So for this New Moon, I wanna encourage you to take some time and practice letting your own intuition be your True North. When you sit down to write out the list of things you want (or think you might want ) to call in, get really quiet and listen to how your body reacts when you think about those things or say them out loud. Our gut will tell us literally everything we need to know if we just get quiet enough to listen to it.

For me, when I think of the thing my soul really longs for, I either get chills all over my body or it feels like something just kicked me in the stomach.

It’s only when I’m not doing that literal gut-check that the anxiety and procrastination flows in.

And also, have some fun with it, yeah? Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to do this stuff the right way that we forget to let the joy and excitement in. You’re literally playing with the magic of the universe! Like my dream boy from Southie would say, that’s fuckin’ tiiight.

Also, if you haven’t checked out Jan Spiller’s New Moon Astrology, I aggressively recommend you treat yourself and use it to level up on all things New Moon. Plus the stuff about your North and South Nodes? Life-changing.

That’s it from me! Have fun storming the spirit stuff!
